Session1: REDGlobal is the premier provider of internet-based business simulations and professional certifications for the lodging, cruise, and destination industries. In its tenth year of sponsorship to International CHRIE, REDGlobal provides services free or at cost to educational institutes as its way of contributing to the future of the industry. At APac CHRIE 2013, on Wednesday 22 May at 14:00, REDGlobal’s education practice leader Prof. Eric Aebi will present two exceptional opportunities for global hospitality instructors: 1. Complimentary enrollment for CHRIE members into REDGlobal’s respected online certification entitled , “Certificate in Lodging Business Acumen”. The industry cost for this course is $700 USD, but it is offered to CHRIE educators free of charge. 2. A panorama review of the four new generation internet-based, real-to-life lodging simulations that are changing the way companies and educational institutions around the globe are designing their learning strategies. While these simulations are a significant investment for companies, REDGlobal offers them to educators at minimum cost as its contribution to strengthening the balance between education theory and industry practice. Session 2: The session will introduce attendees to all of the hotel data, training materials, and related resources that are available from the SHARE Center. The SHARE Center is a global partnership between ICHRIE and STR, with over 130 schools involved around the world. New schools in attendance will be offered a complimentary membership. Participants will also learn about the new "Certification in Hotel Industry Analytics", a joint offering from ICHRIE, EI, and STR. This is the leading certification for undergraduate and graduate students in Hospitality and Tourism programs. |
