Asia Pacific CHRIE (Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education), also known as APacCHRIE, is a Federation of the I-CHRIE. Founded in Hong Kong in 2002 by Professor Kaye Chon of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, APacCHRIE is the regional advocate of hospitality and tourism education for schools, colleges, and universities offering programmes in hotel and restaurant management, foodservice management and culinary arts.

The Hospitality and Gaming Management Program
The Hospitality and Gaming Management Program is under the Faculty of Business Administration of the University of Macau. The Faculty of Business Administration has around 80 faculty members and about 20 administrative staff. FBA has hosted and gained muchexperience in hosting international and regional academic conferences. For example, we successfully hosted the Asia Academy of Management Conference (AAOM) and the World Business Ethics Conference in last November and December 2010. Next year, we are hosting a prestigious international accounting and finance conference. This has given ouradministrative staff and faculty members great insight and experience in hosting international and regional conferences.
In addition, the majority of the hospitality and gaming management faculty membershave also been part of and have great experience in organizing and hosting international conferences. With this background in conference hosting and organisationwe have full confidence that we will be able to successfully host the APac-CHRIE Conference with our goal to create a truly memorable experience to the participants who attend APac-CHRIE. We look forward to meeting you in the 11th APacCHRIE Conference in Macau!
