Every year, we can see a lot of fierce competition in society during the season of graduation. Everybody is ready to fight for their dream job. In fact, only a few graduates can be hired for the job they desire during the first shot.

 

Yet, there is one industry which has seen an impressive growth in Macao over the past decade. It has become increasingly popular among young people, especially college graduates.

 

In contrast with traditional businesses, Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) companies seem to welcome all people. However, what exactly do MLM firms have to offer to attract people?

 

"You can start your own business without any capital, and you're not working for anybody. Anyone can do this job as long as you are willing to learn regardless of your personal background," Ka explains. Ka is a Polytechnic Institute student, who prefers not to give her surname, has been an MLM distributor for half a year.

 

"Most importantly, the working hours are flexible and you can travel for free every year. Moreover, it will be easy to build relationships with various people and make their life better with the products," she adds.

 

Ka further explains that she has paid more and more attention to her health after joining the MLM company. There are tutors teaching her about nutrition and the approaches to achieve success in business.

 

"I got into this business for about half a year now. I might probably find another job and keep on being a MLM distributor at the same time after graduation. Currently I am just a beginner in this business. In the future, if I can achieve the ideal monthly income in the company, I will give up the other job just to focus on MLM," she says.

 

Later, this reporter had the chance to attend a brief introduction of the products. It introduced the advantages and the attractiveness of the products. Ka's enthusiasm was easily spotted, which is like the passion in religion. You really have to believe in your product in order to succeed in this business.

 

"It's really delightful to help others through these products and earn money at the same time. Hopefully one day I can depend on this job whole-heartedly," Ka adds.

 

There are more and more industries emerging in society. Deciding what you want to do after graduation can be hard, it is important to know yourself, explore your options and make a decision. Analyze the job thoroughly and think critically of what is suitable for you.
