Portugese traces everywhere......
By Rosela Yip
The 400-year Portuguese presence
in Macau has left the enclave with prevalent traces of the Portuguese cultural
heritage. Cobbled roads, baroque-styled churches, Portuguese architecture......
all are scattered around our little town. More than being reminiscent of
the Portuguese governance, they have become an indispensable feature in
the city's landscape, which has made Macau so unique and distinct in the
Orient.
