The Public Relations Student Ambassador (PRSA) Programme was launched by the Communications Office in 2010. Reaching its 14th edition this year, the programme has attracted the participation of more than 570 students.
The PRSA Programme aims to provide a practice platform for students interested in public relations. Through a series of training and practice opportunities, students develop their skills in areas such as reception, hospitality, event planning, and interpersonal communication. The primary responsibility of PRSAs is to provide assistance during various large-scale events. To date, PRSAs have completed over 2,100 guided campus tours for more than 84,000 visitors from all over the world. Their outstanding performance has earned them widespread recognition and praise.
Upon graduation, PRSAs have a wide range of career options available to them, including opportunities in branding and image promotion, event organisation, marketing, media promotion, and even taking on roles as emcees.
SA is the abbreviation of Student Ambassadors. The design of the human-shaped letter ‘S’ represents the students who joined the PR Student Ambassadors programme and with the tightly linked star-shaped letter ‘A’, which means the PRSA is able to show their talent fully in this programme and become a highlight and a shining star in UM. This echoes the slogan of the programme ‘Let Your Talent Shine!’.
