Today (28 November) UM held the Ceremony for the Conferment of Honorary Degrees and Higher Degrees. This year UM graduated over 600 students from PhD programes, master’s programes, and postgraduate diploma/certificate programmes. 57 received PhD degrees, the highest number in UM’s history testament to UM’s effort to train research professionals in various fields. Kuok U Kei, representative of this year’s graduates, first thanked the government for giving students a beautiful new campus. He also thanked UM for providing students with the opportunity to participate in scientific research during master’s studies to let them experience the joy of discovery.
