The 4th cohort of UM Reporters has been selected! After going through a series of exams and interviews, 36 students have been accepted into the UM Reporter Programme. They have attended workshops and participated in team building camps organised by the Communications Office (CO). In the workshops, the photographer Hugo Lok taught participants the basics of photography, Che Hio Ieong and Ella Cheong talked about how to write a press release, the filmmaker Kidonis Ng shared basic filming and lighting techniques, while CO Director Katrina Cheong discussed the essential qualities and skills of a good journalist. The UM Reporters also participated in a two-day team building camp where they got to know more about each other through ice-breaking games. They were also divided into groups to conduct man-on-the-street-interviews.
