A delegation led by Liu Chenli, vice president of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology (SIAT) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), visited the University of Macau (UM) today (17 April) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Ge Wei. The two parties had discussions to explore cooperation in the application of national funds, the establishment of research platforms, and the promotion of the transformation of research results.
During the meeting, Liu and Ge gave an overview of the development of SIAT and UM, respectively. Both parties agreed to leverage the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area as a platform to promote cross-border resource integration and foster an international and innovative ecosystem. Song looks forward to further cooperation between UM and SIAT to support the strategic needs of the country’s scientific and technological development.
In addition, the SIAT delegation visited the Faculty of Health Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, and the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, and spoke highly of UM’s research strengths.
