A delegation led by Fang Shouen, secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji University, visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. The two parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on educational cooperation to promote exchanges between colleges and strengthen cooperation between the two universities.
Under the witness of Song and Fang, Janny Leung, college master of UM’s Choi Kai Yau College, and Yin Xuefeng, executive dean of Tongji University’s Guohao College, signed the MOU. Based on the principles of mutual benefit, mutual promotion, and common development, the two universities will jointly explore the reform and development of the educational model of residential college system and enhance the overall quality of talent cultivation in residential colleges. Song said that UM and Tongji University have established a mature mechanism for student exchange and achieved fruitful results in academic and research collaboration, adding that the two universities will deepen their cooperation at the college and university levels to nurture top-notch talent for the country. In addition, the delegation visited Choi Kai Yau College, the UM Library and the University Gallery, and spoke highly of UM’s campus facilities and latest development.
