The University of Macau (UM) recently held its 16th Healthy University Week to encourage university members to lead a healthy lifestyle, care about the environment, and protect personal and environmental safety. In his speech, UM Rector Yonghua Song said that UM has actively cooperated with the Macao SAR government’s anti-epidemic policy and implemented various preventive measures to maintain the normal operation of the campus. During the difficult times of the epidemic, all staff and students were actively involved in the fight against the virus, so that the local community could return to order as soon as possible. Activities of the Healthy University Week included a first aid training course, an ophthalmology talk, a green costume design competition, a visit to a local farm, a flu vaccination campaign, and a bazaar supported by different local organisations to raise the health awareness of students and staff members through booth games.
