The University of Macau (UM) and a local association for the promotion of the Basic Law of Macao recently held the second training course in the constitution of China and the Basic Law of Macao SAR for UM students. The course aims to select local students with the potential to teach the constitution and the basic law from general education courses based on a scheme designed by the Centre for Constitutional Law and Basic Law Studies of the Faculty of Law. The selected students will then promote the constitution of China and the Basic Law of Macao SAR in the ten residential colleges at UM. In his speech, UM Vice Rector Mok Kai Meng said that UM has the responsibility to produce talent who love China and Macao as nearly half of secondary school graduates in Macao are admitted to UM every year.
