The University of Macau (UM) will hold a University of Macau Development Foundation Named Professorship Lecture on Friday 22 April. Cai Xiaochuan, University of Macau Development Foundation Chair Professor of Applied Mathematics, who is also an associate dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the director of the Centre for Applied Mathematics, will be the keynote speaker. He will give a lecture titled ‘Mathematical Algorithms and Clinical Tests for Predicting Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Health’. During the talk, Prof Cai will talk about his research studies on this topic in the past two decades and the latest development of mathematical modelling of human hemodynamics on supercomputers. 
The talk will begin at 4:00pm in the University Hall (N2), UM. It will be conducted in Mandarin with simultaneous interpretation into English. For enquiry, please call 8822 4504.
