The University of Macau (UM) English Debating Team recently participated in Shanghai – SIDO – Hanoi Asia British Parliamentary 2021 and was ranked among the top eight teams in the competition. The online event attracted nearly 400 debaters from more than 190 universities, including Tsinghua University, Tokyo University, the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Ateneo de Manila University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The UM team is the only team from China to have entered the top eight in this competition.
