The University of Macau (UM) will launch a training course to help owners of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) learn more about the latest policies for the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, so they can grasp the new opportunities in the cooperation zone. The course will be open for registration from 12:00pm of 13 October to 12:00pm of 22 October. It was originally priced at MOP 3,900 and is now offered for free. Quotas are limited and applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The training course is organised by UM’s Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), which is dedicated to providing quality courses and teaching services to promote lifelong learning in Macao. UM launched this free course with the aim of promoting national policies and offering opportunities for continuous education and self-enhancement for all Macao residents during the pandemic. Macao identity card holders who are working in a local SME (proof of employment is required for registration) will be given priority for admission. The training course will begin on 1 November and is expected to be completed on 22 November. It will be delivered either in-person or online depending on the latest development of the epidemic.
