A delegation led by Gao Xiang, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, visited the University of Macau (UM) today (26 May) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song. An agreement exchange ceremony was held to confirm the implementation of two agreements signed earlier between UM and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, one on a student recommendation scheme and the other on student exchange. The delegation visited the University Gallery, the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, the Centre for Chinese History and Culture, and the Centre for Macau Studies, and gained a better understanding of UM’s efforts in promoting the study of Chinese history and culture and interdisciplinary studies of Macao, as well as its efforts in collection, collation, and study of rare and precious documents.
