From 1 June to 27 July, the University of Macau (UM) will accept undergraduate applications for the 2020/2021 academic year from students in 31 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in mainland China, who have enrolled for the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE). As approved by the Ministry of Education, UM’s recruitment of mainland students is an independent process and is not part of China’s uniform college enrolment system. Applying to UM on its official website will not affect one’s application to mainland universities via the NCEE. In addition, applicants who have been accepted by UM will not lose their chances of being accepted by mainland universities via the college entrance examination.
In order to apply to UM, applicants must obtain the minimum required scores for entry to first-tier universities in the NCEE, with a score of 110 or above in the English language test. UM will select the best students based on their NCEE results and the admission quotas of the programmes of their choice.
Those who are interested should apply on the UM Registry’s website between 1 June and 27 July. For more information, please visit https://reg.um.edu.mo/admissions/nonlocal/mainland/news/?lang=zh-hant. For enquiries, please email to admission@um.edu.mo or call 8822 4007.
