Since mid-April, the University of Macau (UM) has arranged for over 2,400 students, including postgraduate students, members of UM’s cultural and arts teams, as well as members of the UM National Flag Guard of Honour, to visit an online photography exhibition about national security held by the Macao SAR government.
Organised by UM’s Student Resources Section, the visits aimed to increase UM students’ knowledge about national security. The UM Postgraduate House has a tradition of arranging for students to visit exhibitions on national security. But because of the novel coronavirus epidemic, this year the Postgraduate House has organised a two-week activity instead to promote this online exhibition among its more than 2,000 residents, which has been very well received. In addition, the UM National Flag Guard of Honour has posted a feature article on WeChat to increase people’s knowledge about national security and to encourage its members to share the article with their friends and family.
