| UM kicks off the 3rd "Healthy University Week" |
UM kicked off the 3rd “Healthy University Week” (HUW) to enhance staff and students’ awareness of safety, health and environmental protection and thereby minimize workplace accidents and occupational diseases. At yesterday’s opening ceremony, UM Vice Rector Dr. Alex Lai said that UM is planning to establish a dedicated office to promote safety, health and environmental protection on campus.
UM started HUW in 2007. This year’s HUW will last for five days and will feature many interesting activities such as healthy week slogan competition, potted plants competition, medical testing, health-related lectures, environmental knowledge competition, exhibition, and movie-watching, etc.
