19 students from the University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Education (FED) recently participated in an outbound English teaching and learning programme in New Zealand. This is the ninth year that the FED has organised an outbound programme in New Zealand for its students. The programme included a one-week intensive English teacher training programme offered by the University of Auckland’s English Language Academy and teaching activities at four local schools. The FED also arranged for participating students to live in the homes of local residents throughout their stay in New Zealand so they could acquire an authentic taste of local life.
