The University
of Macau (UM) Student Affairs Office (SAO) recently held SAO Student Awards
Ceremony for the 2015/2016 Academic Year, to reward members of the university’s
arts and cultural groups; as well as participants in the Campus Training
Programme, the House Tutors of Postgraduate House Programme, the Stage
Management Programme, the Spring-Psychological Health Ambassador Programme, and
the Buddy Programme. This is the first time that the SAO has held the Student
Awards Ceremony, which aims to encourage students to participate in campus
activities and to spread positive energy.
Leong Sok I and Tam Ka Weng from the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Pun Chi
Hin from the Faculty of Science and Technology, received the Campus Training
Programme – Best Trainee Award. Jiang Yixue from the Faculty of Education and
Stanley Ho East Asia College, who is also a member of the Mandarin Debating
Team, received the online favourite cultural/arts team member award. The Dance
Troupe received the online favourite cultural/arts team award.
Other awards presented
at the ceremony included the outstanding cultural/arts team member award, cultural
and arts team loyal member award, Campus Training Programme – Outstanding
Trainee Award, Campus Training Programme – Loyalty Award, Postgraduate House
Best House Tutor Award, Stage Management Programme – Outstanding Trainee Award,
Spring – Best Psychological Health Ambassador Award, Buddy Programme – Most
Outstanding Buddy Award, Buddy Programme – Most Active and Helpful Buddy Award,
and Buddy Programme – Loyal Buddy Award.
