The University of Macau (UM) today (25 November) held the third lecture of its University Lecture Series, titled ‘The 21st Century, Computers, and Pattern Recognition – An Application of Big Data’. Tang Yuanyan, chair professor of UM’s Department of Computer and Information Science, was the keynote speaker. He talked about the development of computers, with focus on pattern recognition, an application of big data.
