The University of Macau (UM) and Fuhong Society of Macau on 14 October co-organised an event titled ‘Sketch Together: Engaging with the World of Artist 0.38’, to increase students’ awareness of the needs and achievements of people with disabilities. The exhibition showcased works by the disabled artist Leong Ieng Wai (pseudonym 0.38) and UM students. In the opening speech of the event, Choi Kai Yau College Master David Pong praised Leong for his works despite his disabilities and encouraged students to overcome their difficulties in life and take up the challenges ahead. Wong Hou, chairman of the executive committee of Fuhong Society of Macau, expressed hope that the event can help students accept people with disabilities.
