Seven students and teachers from Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology participated the “China National Join Conference in Biomedical Engineering 2007” held in Xi’an from 20 – 24 April. This conference was organized by Society of Biomedical Electronics of Chinese Institute of Electronics; and Biomedical Measurement Section, Biomedical Information and Control Section, Biomedical Transducer Section of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering. It is the largest scale BME conference in China with near 600 professionals joined all over the world. More than 570 papers were presented during the conference.
UM participants presented 3 papers in the conference. One of these papers, “Flexible Implementation of Front-end Acquisition System for Bio-signal Using FPAA”, written by 2 undergraduate students, Mr. Chan Wei Wong and Mr. Chan U Fei, won the “Youth Best Paper Award” out of near 100 papers written by PhD, Master and teachers from other universities. This shows that the research level in BME of UM is excellent and which is recognized by the professionals in this area.
