The opening ceremony for the ‘Return of Kings’ International Varsity Debate Contest was held today (2 June) at the University of Macau (UM) Student Activity Centre. University students from eight universities, including the University of Malaya, the National University of Singapore, Chongqing University, the University of Edinburgh, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taiwan University, Tsinghua University, and UM, will participate in the four-day debating competition. The event is co-organised by UM’s Mandarin Debating Team and the Mandarin Debating Society under UM’s Students Union, with assistance from the Chinese Debate Association.
