A delegation from the University of Macau (UM), led by University Council Chair Dr Lam Kam Seng, visited several government departments in Beijing, including the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Ministry of Education, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences’s Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, on 31 March and 1 April. This is Dr Lam’s first official visit to government departments in Beijing after he assumed office as UC chair. During his meetings with the heads of the government departments, Dr Lam expressed thanks on behalf of UM for the support and assistance from the central government and the various departments.
