Happy Birthday, a short video about commerce and ethics, made by students of the Department of Communication (English Comm) of the University of Macau (UM), namely, Erica Fong, Karen Chiang, Candy Chan, Miranda Kong, Jessie Cheong and Lilian Lao, won the second prize at the Inaugural Junior Achievement (JA) China Digital Video Competition of China’s University Students held in Beijing.
The competition attracted the participation of more than 100 university students from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and the Macao SAR. The team is grateful for the support and sponsorship offered by the University and the Macau Management Association, and also for the help of their teacher Prof. Tan See Kam, who also supported them in person at the competition venue.
JA China is the largest and the fastest growing non-profit organization in the world. This year is the 15th anniversary of the organization. Therefore, the UM team was given the honour of joining the JA’s Gala Dinner. The students said that they have learned a lot and obtained valuable experience during the competition.
