The University of Macau (UM) Library recently signed memoranda of understanding with the University of British Columbia’s St. John’s College and the University of Toronto’s Richard Charles Lee Canada-Hong Kong Library. UM Librarian Dr Paul Poon said the MOUs aim to strengthen the collaboration between UM and the two universities in academic activities and in the sharing of historical documents for the Hong Kong Canada Crosscurrents, a research programme that studies the migration flows between Canada and Hong Kong over the past 50 years and how such migration has impacted cultural exchanges and transformed both societies.
