The
University of Macau’s (UM) Student Affairs Office recommended 19 UM students
for participation in numerous outbound leadership programmes during the summer
holiday, including the Administrative Management Elite Training Programme for
the New Century organised by the Kowloon Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, the University Scholars
Leadership Symposium organised by the United Nations Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the youth exchange programme for the four
Chinese-speaking regions of Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China
organised by the New Youth Forum in Hong Kong, the Youth Leadership in Social Development Summer Camp co-organised by Beijing Normal University
and several other universities in mainland China, the International Summer Camp
organised by Lanzhou University, and the “Youth, Innovation, Development”
Leadership Camp organised by Jinan University. Participants in these outbound
leadership programmes respectively went to Manila, Hong Kong, Beijing, Tianjin,
Kunming, Shenyang, Lanzhou, Guangzhou and some other places where they met with
local students as well as participated in academic conference, visits and other
activities.
