The University of Macau
(UM) is organising a series of orientation activities for new students. “The
Way to UM”, a ten-day orientation programme, kicked off on 3 September and will
last until 12 September. Guided campus tours, group activities and performances
will be held during this period. The university will also organise a series of
custom-made activities for international exchange students between 10 September
and 13 September. Staff and students will serve as Goodwill Ambassadors to
familiarise exchange students with UM’s campus and the culture of Macao. Members
of the Buddy Programme will also show these exchange students around the city
of Macao. Other orientation activities for new students include the orientation
camp scheduled for 21 September, the orientation party on 22 September, and the
orientation night, which will take place on 27 September at the Cultural
Centre. Orientation for postgraduate students will be held on 14 September to
help postgraduate students know more about the current campus, the services
provided by the Student Affairs Office, the Graduate School, and the Postgraduate
Association, as well as housing information.
