Chinese Medicine, a local publication, was
recently indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E), along with a
group of other influential journals. Chinese
Medicine was founded by Macao people and UM played an instrumental role in
its founding. Dr. Siu-wai Leung from UM’s Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences
is its editor-in-chief. According to BioMed Central, the impact factor of Chinese Medicine has increased to 2.65
from 1.49 in 2012, and its ranking among the top five SCI-indexed journals on
alternative medicine has jumped four spots to No. 1.
