To let students understand more about the political system and culture of Hong Kong, a group of 19 students and academic staffs from the Pearl Jubilee College (PJC) organized a field trip to Hong Kong to observe Hong Kong’s Legislative Council Election 2012 and visit  fishing village in Tai O, Lantau Island on 8th and 9th September 2012. The group also paid a visit to the newly-launched Eslite, a renowned 24-hours bookshop introduced from Taiwan. Students expressed that they had gained much knowledge and experiences from the two-day trip.

Before the field trip, PJC organized a seminar talk on 3rd September that focused on the constitutional functions, election system, as well as agendas in this year’s Hong Kong Legislative Council Election. The visit and the seminar had effectively helped students in developing interest in social affairs.
