On 28 March 2012, Ms. Line Dube, director of the International Relations Office of École Polytechnique de Montréal (ÉPM) in Canada, visited the University of Macau (UM), and met with Prof. Yuen Ka Veng, associate dean of FST, and Prof. Tam Kam Weng, director of Government Relations and Industry Liaison of FST, to discuss the details of the academic cooperation agreement signed between FST and ÉPM in March 2012 as well as a soon-to-be-signed student exchange agreement.
During the meeting, both parties also exchanged opinions on some other issues, including the future development of the two institutions, research projects, and faculty and student training.
After the meeting, Ms. Dube was shown around UM’s campus and FST’s laboratories.
