Conteúdo : This conference offers perspectives on four specific themes: Assessing the Fallout, Perception of Crisis, Models of Integration and The Way Forward. Approximately seventy academics and postgraduate students from a wide range of fields and most of the Asia Pacific and several European jurisdictions have contributed papers and will give presentations at this conference, staging the latest research endeavors and academic thinking on the matter, and adding to a deeper understanding of the complexities of the EU-Asia Pacific relationship. Among the scholars, two keynote speakers, Ing Joao Cravinho, former minister and European politician, and Prof. Elisa Ferreira, are both prominent and recognised policy-makers at European and international levels. Other speakers include the most eminent academic experts in the field from the Asia Pacific region and Europe. For instance, Prof. Dai Bingran, one of the speakers, is the director of the Centre of European Studies and deputy director of the Institute of World Economy at Fudan University in Shanghai. In addition, the president of the European Community Studies Association, the ten presidents of the national European Union studies associations in the Asia Pacific region, and the head of the Office of the European Union to Hong Kong and Macao will also attend the conference.
