Students from Cheong Kun Lun College (CKLC), University of Macau (UM), recently won the first prize, the second prize, and the third prize in the Fourth Yunnan Dali Innovation and Business Planning Competition.
During the trip to Dali, the students participated in a series of themed talks, visits, and received guidance from experts to learn more about the city’s agricultural, economic, and cultural development. In the competition, the students were required to choose one of the following topics, namely ‘Dali’s Agricultural Industry Development and Rural Revitalisation Strategy’ and ‘Marketing and Promotional Strategy for Dali’s Local Products for Tourists’, and create a business plan based on the topic..
The competition aimed to deepen Hong Kong and Macao students’ understanding of the latest developments of mainland China and increase exchange between them and mainland students in order to give them a greater awareness of social responsibility. The event was co-organised by the Ministry of Education of China, the Dali government, the Shanghai government’s liaison office in Yunnan province, Fudan University, Beijing Normal University, Dali University, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and UM.
