The University of Macau (UM) yesterday (7 June) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic collaboration with the University of Bath (UB). The MOU was signed by UM Rector Yonghua Song and UB President Dame Glynis Marie Breakwell. This collaboration agreement aims to promote academic collaboration between the two universities.
President Breakwell was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song, Vice Rector (Research) Rui Martins, and Director of Global Affairs Cindy Lam. After the agreement-signing ceremony, President Breakwell visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, University Gallery, Wu Yee Sun Library, and Moon Chun Memorial College. Breakwell praised UM for its research achievements and learning environment, adding that she looks forward to strengthening collaboration and academic exchange with UM.
The UB is a public university in Bath, Somerset, United Kingdom, with over 17,000 enrolled students and seven faculties. The university is currently ranked sixth in the UK by the Guardian University Guide, and No 160 in the QS World University Rankings.
