The University of Macau (UM) has produced impressive results in scientific research, with academic papers by its faculty members and students often published in renowned international journals. The number of published papers is also increasing steadily year after year. According to Web of Science statistics, UM members published more than 1,400 papers in 2017 (3.6 times the number in 2012), with citation frequency approaching 17,246 (more than 6 times the figure in 2012).
