Seven University of Macau (UM) students, who are also members of the Macao Youth Symphonic Band, recently won a first prize in the C category (intermediate level) at the Mid Europe festival in Austria. The Macao Youth Symphonic Band was led by Macau Band Directors Association Chairman Leong Pui Long. Mid Europe is one of the largest music festivals for wind and brass instrument ensembles in Europe. This year’s event attracted 39 ensembles from different parts of the world.
