New Campus Express is prepared by UM Reporters and reporters of the student newspapers UM Reflection Monthly, and Orange Post, and edited by the Communications Office. It aims to keep all UM members and other stakeholders updated on the latest progress of the new campus at the beginning of the semester.
The University of Macau (UM) today (21 August) held the Student Activities Fair on the new campus. Various student organisations attended the fair to try to attract new members in their own creative ways. For example, the Students’ Union offered marshmallows and popcorn to catch the attention of newcomers. Dean of Students Dr Peter Yu told students that he would do his best to enrich their campus life.
Some students believe that the new campus will help to foster a new culture within the university community. Others hope that biking and the three-meal-a-day custom at the residential colleges will become part of the new campus culture.
