The
University of Macau’s (UM) Pearl Jubilee College (PJC) held a microfilm
discussion session in the Ho Yin Convention Centre on 19 January.
Representatives from Breakthrough, a Hong Kong-based organisation, three
award-winning production teams at the U-Action Video Festival 2012, as well as
the representative of UM’s production team of the microfilm titled “3 Motion”
were invited to attend the discussion session. Participants shared their works,
the production process, the difficulties they encountered, as well as the
experience they gained from the process. Students interested in filming also
took the opportunity to ask questions. Andrew Choi, manager of audio visual and
digital media at Breakthrough, organiser of the U-Action Video Festival 2012, said
the activity mainly targeted young people and hoped to encourage young people to
break through the established ways of thinking and to look at the world from
new perspectives through filming.
