With the approval of the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals was recently inaugurated in Hengqin New Area. At the same event, the University of Macau (UM) was awarded the title of ‘National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base for Overseas Professionals (University of Macau Collaboration Base)’. According to UM Vice Rector Michael Hui, the successful establishment of the offshore base in Hengqin marks a new stage in the collaboration between Hengqin and Macao in the attraction of overseas talent as well as the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship. UM is firmly committed to the mission of nurturing professionals and providing social services for Macao. With the support of the China Association for Science and Technology and various parties, UM’s base will strive to create an innovation and entrepreneurship platform for overseas talent and deepen collaboration between Hengqin and Macao.
