The University of Macau (UM) Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) held a ceremony to award scholarships to outstanding members of UM sports teams. So far this year, these sports teams have won 51 championships, 45 second prizes, and 36 third prizes in various sports competitions in and outside Macao. The OSA also awarded appreciation certificates to 28 coaches and assistant coaches, as well as 51 leaders (team captains, vice captains, and assistants) and 78 loyal members of the sports teams. Earlier this year, UM also presented the UM Outstanding Macau Athlete Scholarship to student athletes who have represented Macao in sports competitions but do not belong to any UM sports team. In addition, the OSA held the Plaque Unveiling Ceremony for Sports Scholarships of UM to recognise award recipients and to show appreciation to scholarship donors. During the event, Vice Rector (Student Affairs) Billy So thanked the donors for their continuous support to UM’s sports development.
