UM holds flag-raising ceremony to celebrate National Day

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the National Flag Team of the University of Macau (UM) held a flag-raising ceremony today (1 October) to extend best wishes to the country.

The ceremony began at 8:00am. Members of the National Flag Team marched in perfect unison, escorting the national flag, the regional flag, and the university flag to the flagpole. As the national anthem played, the three flags were raised. All attendees stood solemnly and looked at the flags with respectful attention. The ceremony was conducted by members of the sixth cohort of the National Flag Team.
