The University of Macau (UM) kicked off the UM Cultural and Arts Festival in September this year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Tonight’s (19 December) variety show was the last event of festival. About 1,600 university students from Beijing, Zhejiang, and Macao gave performances at the event.
