A delegation from the China Association for Science and Technology, led by its president Wan Gang, recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Yonghua Song and Vice Rector Ge Wei. At the University Gallery, Song gave the guests an introduction to UM’s history, educational characteristics, research layout, and results in science popularisation, and said that the university would nurture more professionals who love Macao and China to contribute to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The delegation also visited UM’s State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City. Wan stated that UM has reached international standards in many academic disciplines in terms of research and innovation, and he believes that the university will achieve even more breakthroughs in the future.
