The University of Macau’s (UM) Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and Sharpuway Education, an education consultancy based in Guangzhou, recently co-organised an internship training course for students of Guangzhou University. A total of 77 students in the School of Geography and Remote Sensing of Guangzhou University participated in the course, which lasted from 19 April to 23 April. During the five-day course, students visited different units of UM, including the State Key Laboratory of Internet of Things for Smart City, Research Center for Regional Ocean of FST, UM Wu Yee Sun Library, UM Gallery, and two residential colleges. Outside UM, the students visited Institute for the Development and Quality, Macau, the Macao Water Supply Company Limited, Coloane Power Stations under Companhia de Electricidade de Macau – CEM, S.A. (CEM)  and one facility under the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Macao SAR. In the future, the CCE and Sharpuway Education plan to continue to offer joint training programmes and promote collaboration between UM and higher education institutions in the Greater Bay Area.
