At the “Challenge Cup” National Intervarsity Science and Technology Competition which is considered to be the “Olympics” among all the domestic intervarsity science and technology contests, UM won two first prizes, one second prize, and three third prizes with a total score of 240, ranking No. 1 among all Macao teams and No. 2 among all 15 teams from Macao and Hong Kong.

Six entries from the FST and ICMS entered this year’s “Challenge Cup”. One entry “Ambient influences on structural health monitoring using Bayesian probabilistic approach” from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and one entry “Cyclops – Pocket Based Snapshot (Chinese) Translation” from the Department of Computer and Information Science both won first prizes.
