Lately, a delegation from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, led by Deputy Minister of Education Li Wei Hong, visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegation was warmly received by UM’s top management including Rector Wei Zhao. Li noted that President Hu Jintao’s officiating at the groundbreaking ceremony for the new UM campus and Premier Wen Jiabao’s visit to UM show that the central government has high hopes for UM.
