The University of Macau (UM) welcomes the public to attend its Open Day on the new campus to be held on Sunday 29 march from 10:00am to 5:00pm. This will be UM’s first Open Day held on the new campus. The various faculties and laboratories will open to the public. There will also be student performances, international food festival, booth games, and lucky draw. The opening ceremony will be held in the plaza in front of the library at 11:00am.
UM faculty and students are busy preparing for the various activities on the Open Day, including mooting on civil and criminal cases, the creative English writing workshop, and the talk on whether cancer can be cured, to name but a few. The various faculties and residential colleges, some of which normally do not open to the public, will open on the Open Day to help the public know more about UM’s facilities, academic programmes, students’ lives, and academic and research achievements in recent years. The Department of Communication will hold an opening ceremony for the Creative Media Lab, which is not to be missed by those interested in advanced video production equipment.
More fun filled activities are waiting for you on the Open Day. All are welcome, whether you are a high school student about to graduate, or an alumnus of UM, or a member of the public interested to visit the new campus.
Those who are interested to attend the Open Day can take buses 71, MT3U or 37U to the new campus (71 and MT3U both stop at Praça de Ferreira do Amaral).
