Dr Wang Meng, a renowned contemporary writer, former minister of culture of China, and recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University of Macau (UM), recently gave a talk at UM on how literature can help one cultivate character strengths. As part of the Chinese Famous Writers’ Literary Workshop, the talk attracted many UM faculty members and students, as well as local secondary school students and their parents. The event was organised by UM’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
