Delegações do Ministério da Ciência e Tecnologia e da Educação visitam a UM

A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology, led by Secretary General Xu Jianpei, and another delegation from the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education, led by Director Liu Jin, visited the University of Macau (UM). The delegations were warmly received by UM Rector Wei Zhao and Vice Rectors Lionel Ni and Rui Martins. Xu praised UM for its learning environment and educational strategies, saying that the advanced laboratories will help train scientists for the country. Liu praised UM’s role as a training centre for language professionals in Chinese and Portuguese. Rui Martins told the guests about the university’s latest developments, academic structure, and research achievements in recent years, while Lionel Ni shared the ‘4-in-1’ education model and the residential college system. Members of the delegations visited the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI, and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine.
